Key Features
Counter-Current Mineralization
Opposing movement of descending slurry particles and rising bubbles provides an extended contact zone for particle-bubble interaction.
Fine Bubble Aeration
Highly dispersed fine bubbles increase the available gas-liquid interfacial area and provide more opportunities for particle-bubble contact.
Froth Washing for Reduced Entrainment
Wash water applied to the upper froth layer helps remove entrained gangue impurities from the froth product.
Wide Column Size Range
Available specifications cover column diameters from Φ400 to Φ5500 mm, with listed heights of 8000–14000 mm.

Working Principle
Feed slurry enters the upper section of the flotation column and moves through the collection zone while fine bubbles generated by the lower aeration system rise upward. The counter-current contact between slurry particles and bubbles promotes collision and attachment of minerals with suitable surface properties.
Bubble-attached minerals rise into the froth zone for collection, while the remaining slurry moves downward to the tailings discharge system. Froth wash water is used in the upper section to reduce entrained gangue.

FAQ
1. How does a counter current flotation column work?
Slurry and rising bubbles move in opposite directions, promoting particle-bubble contact and mineral separation.
2. What is the advantage of fine bubble aeration?
Fine bubbles provide a larger gas-liquid interfacial area and more opportunities for particle-bubble contact.
3. Why is froth wash water used?
Froth washing helps reduce entrained gangue impurities and improve flotation selectivity.
4. How do I select the flotation column size?
Selection depends on ore characteristics, processing capacity, feed concentration and flotation process requirements.
