Forced Air Flotation Cell for Mineral

Product Description

Product Overview

The XCF II Mining Flotation Cell is a forced-air mechanical agitation flotation unit designed for mineral processing applications.
A key feature of XCF II is its slurry suction capability. When combined with KYF II flotation cells, XCF II can be arranged as the first cell of each flotation stage, while KYF II cells are installed in the following positions.
This configuration allows the flotation units to be arranged at the same level and supports froth return without a separate froth pump. The series is suitable for roughing and cleaning operations in large and medium-sized concentrators.

Key Features

Slurry Suction Capability

XCF II provides slurry suction capability for flotation circuit positions where slurry suction is required.

First-Cell Configuration

When combined with KYF II, XCF II can be arranged as the first cell of each flotation stage.

XCF II + KYF II Integration

The two flotation cell types can be combined according to flotation circuit requirements, supporting same-level arrangement and froth return without a separate froth pump.

Forced-Air Mechanical Agitation

External air supply works together with mechanical agitation to provide aeration and slurry mixing during flotation.

Roughing & Cleaning

Suitable for roughing and cleaning of non-ferrous, ferrous and non-metallic minerals in large and medium-sized concentrators.

Working Principle

During operation, mineral slurry enters the flotation cell and is mechanically agitated. Air supplied from an external source is introduced and dispersed into the slurry.
Under suitable flotation conditions, floatable mineral particles interact with air bubbles and rise toward the surface to form mineralized froth for separation.
XCF II also provides slurry suction, allowing it to meet the suction requirements of specific positions in the flotation circuit.

XCF II + KYF II Flotation Circuit

A typical combined configuration is:

  • XCF II → KYF II → KYF II → KYF II

XCF II: With slurry suction
KYF II: Without slurry suction
XCF II can be used as the first cell of a flotation stage, followed by KYF II cells. This configuration allows same-level arrangement and eliminates the need for a froth pump for froth return as described in the supplied equipment sample.

FAQ

What is the difference between XCF II and KYF II?
XCF II has slurry suction capability, while KYF II does not.

Where is XCF II used in an XCF II + KYF II circuit?
XCF II can be arranged as the first cell of each flotation stage, followed by KYF II cells.

What flotation operations is XCF II suitable for?
The series is suitable for roughing and cleaning operations.

How do I select a suitable flotation cell?
Selection should consider ore characteristics, processing capacity, feed particle size, required cell volume and flotation flowsheet.

Need to Configure Your Flotation Circuit?

For equipment selection, please provide:
Ore Type | Processing Capacity (t/h) | Feed Particle Size | Required Cell Volume | Number of Cells | Flotation Flowsheet
We can recommend a suitable XCF II or XCF II + KYF II flotation cell configuration according to your process requirements.
