In a 50 m³ KYF-II-50 cell, the impeller has to move an enormous volume of pulp while standing up to relentless abrasion. Our silicon carbide composite impeller is built for exactly that duty, holding its profile in the hardest, most demanding circuits.

Large-cell considerations

On a big cell, an impeller change is a major job: the cell must be drained, the drive locked out and lifting gear brought in. Because the cost of each change-out is high, extending the interval with a durable SiC impeller delivers a bigger return than it would on a small cell — which is why large copper and polymetallic plants in Chile and Peru specify the upgraded material.
