The carbon fiber reinforced silicon carbide composite flotation impeller combines SiC aggregate, carbon fiber and a resin binder. Manufactured by vacuum hot casting, it provides a low-density material option for flotation machine impeller replacement and custom wear parts.
SiC aggregate resists abrasive wear, while carbon fiber improves composite toughness. Impeller geometry, mounting dimensions and metal inserts can be customized according to approved drawings.

Wear-Resistant SiC Aggregate
Silicon carbide aggregate forms the primary wear-resistant phase, helping resist cutting wear from slurry particles. Aggregate Vickers hardness is HV 2800–3400.
Lightweight Composite Material
The composite density is 2.6–2.8 g/cm³. At equal volume, its material mass is approximately 35% of that of high-chromium cast iron. Finished impeller weight depends on geometry and metal insert design.
Carbon Fiber Reinforcement
Carbon fiber bridges cracks and absorbs impact energy to improve composite toughness.
Custom Manufacturing
Vacuum hot casting supports complex impeller geometries and near-net-shape production, reducing reliance on complex metal tooling and minimizing finishing work.

Hardness values refer to the SiC aggregate, not the bulk composite. Temperature suitability depends on the operating environment and requires technical confirmation.
This composite impeller is intended for abrasive slurry applications where wear resistance, component weight and custom geometry are important.
Replacement compatibility is assessed against the flotation machine model, impeller dimensions, shaft connection and operating conditions. The composite body and metal inserts are manufactured according to the approved design.
Actual service life and operating performance depend on slurry characteristics, speed, temperature and impact conditions.
