Product Description
XCF II KYF II Pneumatic Mechanical Flotation Cell for Mineral Processing
Product Overview

The XCF II / KYF II Pneumatic Mechanical Flotation Cell is designed for roughing, scavenging and cleaning operations in mineral processing plants.

XCF II provides slurry suction capability, while KYF II operates without slurry suction. With external air supply, mechanical agitation and effective air dispersion, the system provides stable slurry circulation and air-pulp mixing for the flotation of non-ferrous, ferrous and non-metallic minerals.

Key Features
XCF II + KYF II Combined Configuration

XCF II provides slurry suction, while KYF II is designed without slurry suction. Their combined arrangement supports continuous multi-cell flotation circuits.

Adjustable External Air Supply

Air is supplied independently by a blower, allowing the air volume to be adjusted according to flotation operating conditions.

Effective Air Dispersion

The air distributor and rotor work together to disperse air into the slurry and promote effective air-pulp mixing.

Stable Slurry Circulation

The rotor design provides strong slurry circulation, helping maintain mineral particles in suspension and supporting stable flotation operation.

Wear-Resistant & Maintenance-Friendly Design

The rotor-stator arrangement is designed for relatively uniform wear, while the simplified mechanical structure facilitates routine inspection and maintenance.

Recommended Combined Arrangement:

The actual number and arrangement of flotation cells should be selected according to the mineral processing flowsheet and operating requirements.

Working Principle

During operation, the rotor draws slurry into the agitation zone. At the same time, low-pressure air supplied by an external blower enters through the hollow shaft and air distributor.

The rotor mixes the air with the slurry and disperses the mixture outward. The surrounding stator stabilizes and directs the slurry flow.

Mineralized bubbles rise to the surface and form a froth layer, which is discharged through the froth launder by the scraper mechanism. The remaining slurry continues circulating or flows to the next flotation cell for further separation.

Main Structure

The flotation cell mainly consists of:

Rotor / Impeller • Air Distributor • Stator • Tank • Main Shaft • Bearing Assembly • Air Control Valve • Froth Scraper

Compared with KYF II, the XCF II structure incorporates additional components associated with its slurry suction function.

Applications

XCF II / KYF II flotation cells are suitable for roughing, scavenging and cleaning operations in medium and large mineral processing plants.

Applicable mineral processing applications include:

Non-ferrous Metal Minerals • Ferrous Metal Minerals • Non-metallic Minerals • Phosphate Ore

According to the supplied technical documentation, the applicable feed particle size range is 0.3 - 0.01 mm, with the −0.074 mm fraction accounting for approximately 50%-90%.

Equipment Selection

Flotation cell configuration should be selected according to actual process conditions. For equipment selection, please provide:

Ore Type • Processing Capacity • Feed Particle Size • Pulp Conditions • Flotation Stage • Required Cell Volume

Y&X can recommend the appropriate XCF II / KYF II configuration according to the flotation process requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between XCF II and KYF II flotation cells?

XCF II has slurry suction capability, while KYF II does not. XCF II can therefore be arranged as the first cell of a flotation stage, followed by KYF II cells.

Can XCF II and KYF II work together?

Yes. The two models can be combined in the same flotation circuit according to process requirements.

Does the flotation machine require an external air supply?

Yes. The XCF II / KYF II flotation machine uses an external low-pressure air supply.

How do I select the appropriate flotation cell?

Selection depends on ore characteristics, processing capacity, particle size, flotation flowsheet and operating conditions. Providing these parameters helps determine the appropriate equipment configuration.
